Suicide Squad

Watched it.

Yawn, yawn yawn.

Too predictable. Not much elaboration. Too much deus ex machina. I mean I love the Jocker and Harley Quin but the rest of the gang were so boring and lame.

I didn't sleep or anything but I finished the popcorn in 10 minutes top.

Mockingjay Part 2

HR was so disappointed with the movie.

I believe it could be better. I meant, I read the book countless times.I still cried everytime I read it.

I love every word. I like the plot. I like the twist. I love Peeta Mallark. (Chris Hemsworth who?)

I think I'm gonna watch the movie again. Without HR of course.

I've been watching too much Jiwa

I personally think Malay Dramas have improved a lot in terms of acting, plot and settings.

They still however always assume that bad people, gangsters or mobs hang out or meet at the dodgy place where all the rats and cockroaches would love to join them.

With the income that they supposedly have, they can meet at any place under the sun. Including awesome eateries in Suria KLCC. Right?

Just my two cents.

Being human

The other day I watched Green Lantern (the one with Ryan Reynolds (but I still root for Ryan Gosling, in any movie)), I like one quote by him,

"I'm only human. But It does not mean I am weak. It means I am vulnerable."

It means, we can be wounded or get hurt. We are open for assault or criticism. But, we are human. We forget things easily as well. We recover.

So, hold on to that thought.

We are not weak!

Pilihan Alfina tetap HR

The other day, I was watching a drama. Malay drama. A cerekarama; Pilihan Rozana.

I was watching alone as HR was in the other room doing his music thingie.

Guitar,
Keyboard
Microkey
Amplifier
Tuneport
Microphone included.

I prefer to watch alone anyway because HR loves to complain about everything in a Malay drama.

The storyline
The actors
The dialogue
The make up
The props
The location
The food
The wardrobe
The music

Basically, everything.

After a while, he came and seek for me in the living room. And he did what he did best. I had to finally stop him from disturbing me.

"Abang, ini pilhan Rozana ok! Rozana! Bukan pilhan Hisyam!" I didn't use the exclamation mark of course. However, HR didn't budge. Finally, I switched off the television and said we should sleep.

After all, it was Saturday night and Sunday is a school day for us in Johore.

Big Bad Wolf

Since the earliest relationship I knew that me and HR have different preferences in music, movies and books. We fought about it sometimes like he kept insisting me to like Will Ferrell and I had to justify a gazillion time to him why Peeta Mallark is way, way, way better than the other guy (The Hunger Games).

He would tolerate my quirk of must-park-at-the-nearest-mall-entrance while I always remember where he put all his stuff, including where he park the car when in mall.

While I let him have one room for his fanboyism and loud music (read: guitar stuff), he always amuses me with his rendition of Yuna and Back Street Boys. He would let me have Jacob Black as wallpaper while I tolerate his comics' heroes.

Since, one of his birthday coupons is books from BBW sale, we went there.

As I learned my lesson, (to only buy books that I truly read not because of it's so cheap, we must buy so that I'll read it someday attitude; 'someday' never arrives), I focus on finding Suzanne Collin's writing and maybe Dorothy Koomson if any.

As expected, once we entered the BBW (after I memorized where we park our car), we went our separate ways. Me in the fiction section while HR was lost in the comics and music sections. We crossed path several times.

You would think I mind, shopping together but not truly together.

I don't honestly.

But knowing HR's unconditional love towards me, he actually did try to find The Hunger Games books collection for me (which had sold out on the preview day itself, blergh!) first. He tried high and low, even asking the shop assistant.

That's why I wouldn't mind the difference much. We complete each other.

p/s: I bet you remember all the tales I told you about his fondness to walk. Walk. Walk.

Post Twillight

HR knows how obsessed i am with Jacob Black.

And Stephanie Meyer.

So he agreed to me watching The Host the other night. He really agreed when I mentioned Bayah was coming over too.

He just gonna let me go gugugaga over whoever the hero this time with Bayah. (It's Ian, btw).

After the movie, (which I'm gonna review later (like whenever)), I said to HR, it should be cool if we name our future kids English name, like Jacob, of course.

He didn't completely disagree, but he does prefer Malay-er name. Like Yaacob Hitam.

Like what?

Yaacob Hitam.

Like no!

A-mah-zing

We managed to go out for a date last weekend. Despite school on Saturday, tiredness, school work, in-laws at home and house need cleaning. Despite now as a couple, I rather stayed home and decorate and do house work.

Anyway, a happy time just the two of us. Simple one but meaningful one.

Woke up late. As usual. It is hard to woke HR up I tell you. Especially I am always persuaded to join him. And we are loving the bed (thanks Abah). And of course the bed loves us so much more. Later, prepared brunch as HR hang the cleaned clothes.

Went to JPO to look for my birthday present. I want a purse. And we didn't find any. Such a high taste that I got. Went to IOI Kulai and watched Spidey.

I love it. I cried a few times. It is such an emotional movie I tell you. I especially love Emma Stone and Spidey awesome behind. LOL.

p/s: HR told me that, the other version of Spiderman, included The Ultimate Spiderman. Nice way to learn synonyms.

Breaking Dawn pun kena censored tau

Who needs sleep when you can watch movies instead?

I watched a bunch of movies yesterday.Four movies, to be exact. This is me catching up on the movie fiasco.

So, the best one is Horrible Bosses. It is HR kinda movie. Smart jokes and wittinness. Directed by one of his favourite guys, Seth Rogen. The movie is awsome. Well, the company too.

Water for Elephant is a snooze. Typical love story. Maybe the setting is different, circus. It is mainly about a boy loves a girl he can't have but the boy gets the girl anyway.

Sucker Punch sucks.

Re-watch Killers because Saqinah hasn't watch it yet. I like drooling over Ashton Kutcher, all over again. Who wouldn't want Ashton as her guy?

Today is superheroes day. I got Green Lantern and Captain America line up. Yes, I haven't watch those movies.

Friday, September 30

I am giddy today

That is what 2 hours alone with Taylor makes me feel like.

I know, I know.. but I would still say alone.

Wordless Wednesday

I wanna watch this

Monday, June 13

cepat habiskan puasa ganti kawan-kawan, Ramadhan dah tak lama.

I was never into jazz music. I think it's a bit too 'sexual'. My brother even called jazz music to be the seducing music, usually played when one wants to invite the date up to the house.

me during jazz festival in Auckland

Anyway, in support of Malaysian music industry, I bought Najwa's album. Urm, HR bought it for me actually (after I persuaded him to belanja me). I love it. Love! Love! Despite the jazzy music. And there are songs with the element of seducing music, usually played when one wants to invite the date up to the house.

Not in the lyrics. Just the music.

On the other note, my friends claimed that I'm turning too patriotic since I live in GM. Just because I've been buying albums from Malaysian artists and loving Malaysia movies.

What? I can't deny that KL Gangster is awesome. It is! Shamsul is so hottt!!

At least I did not watch Nur Kasih, (you know who you are!).

Friday, April 8

well spent

I would pay a lot of money to spend time with my loved ones. Which I did. Even for a short while.

And I spend it with eating and watching movies.

One of it is this one. Which is so awesome.

I love the movie. But I don't like Jake Gyllenhaal.

It made you think. Love it.

I love my weekend~

Kedondong Madu

Oh, what I do for the men I love.

I succeeded forcing HR to watch my heroes in respective movie; Haq and Khurafat. Oh yes, Zulhuzaimy is one of my boyfriends.

I thought Haq was not bad. I mean the visuals and the camera play. Tapi overused sket r. The only thing that was going through my mind was, "Apa bajet untuk mekap takde ker sebab awal scene dah ada kereta meletop?" I mean I can see all the jerawat and jeragat. Including Fatimah Abu Bakar's. Somehow I thought, Raja Farah's lipgloss looks kinda cheap. Tapi scene Adi Putra and Nanu meletops. Tak sangka Finas lepaskan. Dahsyat!

As for Shamsul, I thought his storyline was all over the place. Like there are few uneeded scenes. Oh, Liyana Jasmay looks so young to be someone's wife (or is that my jealousy talking?). I have to admit I squinted my eyes most of the Khurafat scenes. Gosh, it was surreal. It was worth the money.

Peppermint Tea

I am happy and proud to announce that I had watched every worth watching movie in cinemas. And yes, that include Ngangkung. Oh, what I do for the one I love - Shahiziey Sam.

Anyway, now I'm off to watch the movie which had won more awards than I ever expected - Evolusi KL Drift 2. On the bright side, Shahiziey Sam starred in it. I want to understand the reasons of the non-stop winning.

On the side note, please don't go and watch The Tourist if you loathe Jolie. Not even because you really like Johnny Depp.

p/s: Enlighten me how can one direct a movie and be a star in it?

**updated**

Ok, now i see the logic behind the awards. Since I'm in the mood to watch Malay movies, I did a marathon. And I love Pisau Cukur. Amazing..

Nutty Chocolate

*I meant to write this months ago.

It's a movie review of a movie I watched months ago. Skyline. I didn't bother to write earlier because I never think it's important (as in I think the movie is lame).

I now understand the reason behind the mysteriousness of the trailer and the poster of Skyline. You know how they never showed who's the actors/actresses, a longer plot. Just the tagline,

Don't Look Up.

Well, I think maybe they should put,
Don't Look at all.

Cotton Candy

I was so bored stuck at home while everyone else is out having fun. So I decided to cheer myself up. I made the mattress cozy with gazillion of plushies and fan nearby. No way will I sweat on a hot hot day.

I chose Camp Rock 2.

And my choice was so perfect. It made my day. Truly did. I was so busy laughing till my face gone red that I forgot to eat my chocolates. Though some of the songs are great, it has all the cliches in the world in one movie.

The best 90 minutes of my day so far.

Thursday, October 21

He used to date my favourite singer

I love this movie. I really don't know why people wouldn't like it. It is not a waste of time. For me, this movie is a great suspense film! I mean for a movie to only have one actor, one dark ugly tiny setting, it was awesome. Duh ~ I believe it's really hard to make a good film when the entire movie only about him in a box.

But you need to be prepared from the beginning, it only has one setting.

For this movie really can make my heart pounds thousand time faster and shed a few tears, I give it a 9.5/10.

Go watch it.

p/s: Roja dear, Happy birthday. Love you lotssssssssssssss

Tuesday, October 5

Music Magic

I watched Magika just now.
I thought it was awesome.
I gave it 9.9/10 marks.
I think it was worth every HR's penny.
Only me and HR clapped after the movie finishes.

Go and watch it.
